RIM has officially announced that the Blackberry Tour 9630 is coming this summer.

The 9630 will be a smartphone featuring Dual-band CDMA with EVDO, Quad-band GSM with EDGE, UMTS/HSPA 2100 MHz. It has a 480x360 high resolution display, 256MB on board memory with a Micro SD card slot, a 3.2 megapixel camera that has autofocus, video recording capabilities, GPS, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Today Sprint announced in their press release that they will be offering the Blackberry 8830 (World Edition). They won't be able to have it in stores till July 15th, but what promted the the announcement? When I look at this decision it strikes two different reasonings. One being that the announcement on Telus prompted the Press Push. Or in other views, was this a stunt to pull some of the eye off of the tomorrow's iPhone release? I'm personally I'm going to think Telus had a lot to do with it.
