BlackBerry Storm/Thunder 9530 Packaging Leaked

Engaget Mobile has broken pictures of the packaging for the BlackBerry Storm 9530. The storm was formally code named Thunder and many leaked pictures have been around(Here, Here or Here). The Storm is set for an October 13th release date, but its going to be an Verizon exclusive. Hey RIM, why make an obvious iPhone competitor if you arn't going to release it on the same network that the iPhone is on? Maybe im just bitter because I'm stuck on AT&T and won't be able to get a Storm without switching networks.

As for the Thunder name, according to the blog-o-sphere, in Canada, Europe, and possibly elsewhere the 9530 will go by "Thunder". Seems as though only in the U.S. will it be named "Storm". Weird huh?

According to the packaging the phone will include a SanDisk 8GB microSDHC Card to house all of the media for the Storm. I applaud RIM for adding a decent microSDMC Card, anything smaller could have been disasterous for them.

Do BlackBerry Users Deserve Overtime Pay?

News 8 Austin reports that some BlackBerry users are demanding overtime pay to make up for personal time lost using their phone at home for business related emails.

Personally I feel as though BlackBerry Overtime pay would be unfair to employers for a few key reasons:

First, "the customer is always right"...

...and usually will need help around the clock. So whenever something needs to be taken care of I feel as though the businessperson should be willing to take care of it. In addition to that thought, its whoever needs your email attention is either paying you or provides money for the paycheck received, so a bit of "overtime" isn't the worst thing in the world.
