BlackBerry Media Sync Software Review

A few days ago I downloaded the BlackBerry Media Sync from Blackberry.com so I would be able to sync my iTunes Library to my Curve. I was using an 8gb Ipod Nano, so in order to not sacrifice on tunes, I picked up a SanDisk 8GB microSDHC Card from BerryShack so my curve could fit everything that was in my Nano...

After navigating through the user friendly interface, I selected the play lists I wanted to sync up to the phone. Clicked sync and then the BlackBerry Media Sync proceeded to place all my favorite music onto the phone. It took about 10mins for the sync to complete, not the quickest transfer in the world, but if you plug it in while you are surfing the web, it will be done before you know it.

Downsides:

-Sometimes BlackBerry Media Sync doesn't recognize your phone when its already plugged into your computer before starting up Media Sync. So you'll have to unplug your Berry and replug it in for the Media Sync to recognize it.

-Whenever you want to update your synced collection onto your phone, the entire play list that you are adjusting has to be reuploaded onto your phone. No extra work for you, it just takes 10 minutes to update everything. Compared to the Ipod where it just adds the new songs.

Overall:

If you have iTunes and a BlackBerry I would recommend downloading and using BlackBerry Media Sync because its easy to use, free, and now that I have my collection on the curve, I no longer need to carry around my Nano.

On a side note, if you happen to know someone looking to buy an old 8gb black nano, mail me.
